Location
The authentic village of Montegrosso Pian Latte (MPL) lies in the foothills of the Ligurian Alps - against the slopes of Monte Monega - at an altitude of about 700 meters. Here there is still real peace and people are friendly and helpful. On the edge of this village is the comfortable and cozy cottage "Tra Mare e Monti" or "Between Sea and Mountains". The cottage has a balcony and private sun terrace, both with a beautiful view over de valley.
During the day you can hear the birds of prey, in the evening the owls, the squirrels and the rustling of the brook. Guests give MPL a Medieval look and indicate that you are acclaimed here of mass tourism. MPL is a village that lives. It has 2 restaurants, a shop for groceries, a church, post office and a doctor.
Layout of the Holiday Home
General: max. 3 persons; central heated.
Splitlevel living/kitchen: cooking, rinsing, fridge with freezer, oven, satellite TV, WiFi, safe, BlueTooth® speaker and a bedside cupboard with a full bed for the third guest.
Bedroom: 2nd connection satellite TV, wardrobe, double bed (on request 2 single beds).
Bathroom: toilet, shower, bidet, washbasin.
Otherwise: a balcony and a private terrace of 25 m2 including garden furniture and BBQ ... Beside the house is a lockable storage space.
Climate
Due to its location it is never too hot in summer and a temperate climate in winter due to the influence of the Mediterranean Sea. If you find it too hot in summer, you go into the woods, or you go up in height. For example, to Case Fascei - the shepherd's village of Montegrosso is about 6 minutes drive away - is 1300 meters high; there it is often 4-5 degrees cooler. . .
Possible activities
From the holiday home there are many possibilities throughout the year - too many to mention them all - to gain special experiences and to enjoy to the FULL:
• From the cottage you walk directly into nature: ideal for walking, enjoying nature diversity and other activities such as cycling (road bike and MTB, down-hill trials),
• golf, trout fishing, hang-gliding (duo-jump), canyoning, mountaineering, horseback riding,
• City visit and shopping (f.i. Albenga, Alassio, Bordighera, Genoa, Imperia, Nice, Sanremo, Ventimiglia ...),
• daytrips (Cinque Terre, whale watching),
• beach, the Italian (Flower)Rivièra,
• culture, art and history are richly present,
• local events and feasts,
• and much more . . .
Gastronomy:
The local kitchen 'Cucina Bianca' (the white kitchen)is praised and cheap. Taste the local wine and understand why locals only drink this 'real wine', without additives.
Experience this 'romantic' environment where people live contrary to the 'speed economy' and fast food culture. Go with it ... relax, enjoy the outdoors in this beautiful environment.

The journey
The distance is 870 miles from the heart of London.
Booking a flight by airplane is a good option (Fly-drive); lots of low-cost flights to Nice (France). Next, rent a little car like a Fiat Panda or equal.
Alternative airports: Genoa, Turin and Cuneo. Rent a car with a discountof 15%?
Your private terrace. All accessories such as cushions, BBQ, ashtray etc. ...
... you'll find them in the cupboard on the right.

Rentalperiod 2024 from thursday April 11th until saturday May 4th and sunday July 14th until saturday August 31st.
We use ALL-IN prices. That means including tourist tax, booking costs, basic energy costs and 1 set of bath, kitchen and bed linen per person per week/stay.
Exclusive remain: personal expenses, food & drinks, travel expenses and final cleaning (€40).
7+ nights: discount 15%
Minimum stay: 3 nights.
86€ per night. Price per week €512 (7+ discount applied).
Check-in: every day of the week.
All prices based on a stay for 2 persons; surcharge third person: €25 per night.
